Apparently Adele has put herself on the speedy recovery plan. She's up and in a chair and doing great. So much so that they are going to move her out of ICU later this morning and into a regular room. Her chest still hurts but I think the new soft teddy bear I brought her this morning is making it feel better.

Glad to hear Adele is doing great. LOML had a new (cow) valve put in last spring. What a difference between then and now. She was out of the hospital in 4 days and after about 3 months there was no stopping her! At 67 she surprised even the doc's.

God is faithful, Sam! That is just soooo great that the love of our life and mother of your children is going to continue to be with you! God bless, brother!
That is good news, Sam. Certainly, the more active she can be will help speed her recovery (but don't overdue it). This should give her a new lease on life. Listen to the docs.
As stated earlier LOML was out of hospital in 4 days. Op was done at Fletcher-Allen in Burlington, VT (U of VT teaching hospital) one of the best in the NE. Their rational for such an early release was their fear of the MRSA bug.

I spent the entire day at the hospital. They removed the chest tube today and that was a relief for her. She is retaining a bit of fluids, so she's now on a "water pill" and a reduced fluid diet. The docs are sying she'll go home Friday or Saturday.
As an aside, I am amazed how tired I am from just sitting at the hospital all day.
