I finally got to take this thing. 38 and I only missed two (but I feel MUCH older).
No way in location I should have got 12, as I am NOT a sports fan, but I thought I remembered him getting made fun of because of it in some interview. I missed 13 (heard it before but thought it was another product).

The one that gets me, as I don't get the reference is 4. I know Good night Irene, and have heard Leadbelly singing it (old recording) but never heard the other. What is the reference to?
      Thanks

Number 4 was NBC Nightly news with Chet Huntley and David Brinkley (anchors), that was their famous nightly sign off, saying goodnight to each other in that order.

            Lions and Tigers and Bears!

            Mr. Bill
What day in March is your birthday? Mine is the 2nd. If I would have missed the Lions and Tigers question, which is from the Wizard of Oz, I would have had to move. I am from Kansas. I knew WKRP IN Cinncinatti, but was too late. Actually turkeys can fly. Wild ones anyway, and a few people after drinking Wild Turkey. Domestic ones can't, at least not well. At least they didn't drop frozen turkeys.

I'd have to ask my boss, but it was either the actor that played Less Nesman, or Herb Tarlick, whose parents lived down the street from my boss, in the 70's, in Quivera.

Gee Bill, that makes you the 'old man'. Mine is on the 19th, I just start to recuperate from St. Patrick's Day and it's another party.

I have seen a few wild turkeys, usually they just flap their wings and run when I happen on to them.

I got em all without working up a sweat. These things are not so much trivia as they are cultural icons. Just about every one of them ended up embedded in the American lexicon. Sort of like "We're two wild and crazy guys!" or my new favorite "Mavericky mavericks".

I am 44 and I got all 20 correct all though a couple were educated guesses.

Here's link to the "Turkeys Away" episode of WKRP in Cincinnati.

                          Paul,

                          100% and you're a young'un too.

I loved Stan Freberg's voice for Cecil. I can still do a pretty fair imitation of, "I'm Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent." I read that Freberg and the other voices didn't know that they were to be the puppeteers too, when they arrived for the first show.
