It Surely Doesn't Feel Like Christmas

I was in Walmart this morning. Schmaltzy Christmas music was playing and all the Halloween stuff is gone. It would feel more like the season if it weren't going to be 80 degrees here today. That is one of the few things I miss about NY. We don't get a real fall here and we don't get a real spring. It goes from hot to cold and cold to hot too fast.

That's exactly why I never want to live there, AZ, NM, Florida, etc. I would miss the seasons too much. Where I am is as far south as I want to go.

And then there is wet and fire season. I too miss the seasons, even winter, at least as long as I am away from it. Not sure I miss it enough to move back to snow country.

Bill, on the Sunny Oregon Coast where today we may see the sun.

Monday and Tuesday it was in the low 70's here, today rain and snow with a high in the 30's. Love the 70's but dread the snow coming!!!

I never cared much for winter. But since I'm retired, it's not all that bad.

I was just going to post that, then I saw your post, and realized we're from the same neck of the woods

I'm not excited to see the snow, but it does help to put me more in a Christmassy mood... We do a big Christmas display which requires me to start getting stuff up shortly after Halloween, and it's really hard when it feels like summer out... On the other hand I'd rather be stringing up lights in trees when it's 70 than when it's zero...
