    Brrrr!!!

I woke up this morning to 61 degrees and the projected high is 70 today. It may go into the 50's tonight or tomorrow. Guess I gotta dig out the plaid flannel long sleeve Nahm shirts. BTW, anyone got any of those?

Got one. I wear it as a jacket when the temp drops below zero. Didn't need it today, 28° this AM.

I guess that cold and heat are things that your body adapts to. It was 60* in the shop last night and I was wearing a long sleeved shirt but not a flannel. I was quite comfortable. OTOH, when the thermometer hits 90* I'm a puddle of sweat when I'm not even doing anything. We lived in South Carolina (I sure miss those people - truely friendly) I was a basket case for the first summer and improved each one thereafter. I was sitting in traffic on my motorcycle and was thinking that it was going to be getting really hot soon. I looked over and saw a bank thermometer that showed 103*. Even given their inaccurate nature I was finally adapted to the heat. We moved the following January to Pennsylvania. Back to being in shock!

We had Our first frost last night and the temperature was 33, guess I'll have to turn the

        thermostat to heat. Bill

We had snow flurries Sunday and Monday, with wind gusts of 40 mph. I switched over from my windbreaker and had to my ski coat and toboggan.

Still pretty warm in the San Francisco area, with highs in the 70s and lows in the upper 40s. At Lake Tahoe, highs are in the high 60s and lows just above freezing. I was up over the weekend and had to light a fire wehn I arrived and again the next morning.

Cabman, that's not cold! Your low will be our high for today. I have a plaid workshirt, but mine is insulated. I got it as a size too large so I can layer underneath it. It is also long so it stops most of the wind. Great to wear outside in the winter when I am working around the yard.

We're only supposed to get to 65 up here in "the North" today. That would be a new low record for this date. Any more of this, and I may have to move south...

I have a bunch of Nahm Shirts. Being retired my wardrobe is simple Spring and Summer Levis, shorts and T shirts, Fall and winter Levis, Nahm Shirts and Sweats. Here in Sacramento 40's and 50's are the norm for the winter months. It's been in the 80's the past month but that is expected to change on Friday with the first storm of the season. I took the AC out of the shop window and reinstalled the glass as it is nice to have more natural light in there, also got the heater out. Took all of 15min to do. Today I will be putting some of the out door furniture away for the season and tomorow clean the gutters for the first time, will have to do than a couple of more times as the leaves fall. Now a question why does 70F feel cool in Summer and warm in winter? or at leat it does to me

Cabinetman, you want to know what cold feels like, go po the wife!

Now THAT tells you what cold is.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

That kind of weather always leads to indecision up here. Do I go with jeans and long sleeves, or shorts and a t-shirt?

Today's a no-brainer - cold, windy, and rainy (like last night's World Series game in Philly.) Actually had to don a light jacket.

I quit squawking about the cold after I spent a "summer" at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. Just checked the temp there and it is -51F

At the time of posting this it is a balmy 29° F here. Forcasted high of 62°F today.

I'm wearing a t-shirt, of course I'm inside. My goose down jacket was almost not enough this morning on the way to work. Gotta love this fall weather. There is a nice crispness in the air. It snowed last week (in the nearby mountians) but it had all melted prior to the weekend.
