    New Indiana Jones DVD

I just got the new Indiana Jones movie released on DVD today from Netflix.

Very enjoyable, as usual requires some suspension of disbelief, but a lot of fun, all the old IJ formulas still work.

The THX logo sequence at the beginning will give your subwoofer a workout. The rest of the movie soundtrack was just so-so for LFE (low frequency effects). and that's despite having the normal amounts of chases, collisions, moving caves, walls & statues etc and even a major explosion to work with.

I saw it in the theater. I did like it, but would rank it behind ROTLA and LC. I thought the end was sorta hokey, but still enjoyed it.

I took the fam to see it in a theatre.

The magic was gone for me, but my kids thoroughly enjoyed it.

LOML and I took FIL out to see the latest Indiana Jones and Iron Man. He fell asleep during IJ, but was absolutely riveted by Iron Man...

Not saying IJ was bad (FIL is in his 70s and falls asleep at a whim), but Iron Man simply rocked...

Iron man was amazing. I rented it (didn't see it in theatres) but kinda wish I had gone when it was on the big screen.

I wouldn't have gone quite as far as the South Park guys ripping Crystal Skull, but it didn't really do very much for me, and left me pretty disappointed compared to my expectations.

I'll watch again on Blu-Ray to see if it's less painful the second time around, but right now I would put it way at the bottom of the Indiana Jones movies, with Temple of Doom in the middle and Last Crusade then ROTLA as the best two. Just my personal opinion, and we all know what that is worth...

Both Ford and Allen still look real good.

Maybe That's because your age differential (compared to theirs) has not changed!

I got it yesterday too, actually it is not uncommon that I get new releases from them on release day.

And I agree, the THX sequence was pretty cool!

I took my wife to see Iron Man, and she insisted we go and see it a second time. Very cool movie!

I've got a number of "popular" new releases on release day from Netflix, but on the other hand I have some like ironman and What happens in Vegas have been "LONG WAIT" seems like since the day they came out and that's been a while.

One trick is to send your old movie back so it arrives and they register it on Monday. Usually that means mailing it Friday or Saturday. Then they can mail out a new release if its at the top of your queue and so it will arrive Tuesday, the legal release date. if your old one arrives a day late they may be out, if it arrives a day early then the tuesday release will not be available yet and they'll mail out one that is.
Its all in the timing i think.
