1 time for both of us. 31 years of happy marriage ("17 for her, 14 for me"- a bad joke I always tell when folks ask how long we've been married). I have had a job that involves business travel for 30 of the 31 years. Although it can sometimes be tough, we believe in the old axiom, "Absence makes the heart grow fonder". Always delighted to see LOML after a long business trip...
first one, it will be 10 wonderful years in sept. now was it is sept 26 or 27 ? for the life of me, i have troubles with this number. LOML initially got real upset, but it doesnt bother her now.
You feel like a rookie? 7 years for me next month. I've got some catching up to do! But I still am looking forward to it...
Ditto for me, too. 7 years on Sept 22nd.
Lived in San Diego during 9/11 and drove cross country to Lancaster, PA for
the wedding. Seeing America from coast to coast as honeymooners is an
experience I will never forget--and we did it without a GPS!
It was five years for us in June, but we've been together for 24 years. My first, her second.
Marriage requires a lot of flexibility and a willingness to give up a lot. We're both pretty independent people and we give each other a lot of space. My wife does a lot of things without me because she's retired and I'm still working.
The only real disagreements we had about our recent truck purchase are atypical - which one pays for it (me), will it have her much-beloved personalized license plates on it (yes dear...), and can we do it via Autobytel next time (probably not). We're building our retirement home and there have been no serious disagreements.
