That's the kind of walk I want to take while I'm still alive. Say "Happy Birthday" for me.

Beautiful picture. Are those chalk cliffs, Ray? I remember walking along the chalk cliffs ( I think it was Ramsgate) when I was much younger. I thought it was cool that I could pick up chalk right off the ground. There were chalk drawings at my Nan's for days after that trip

Thanks for the kind comments and wishes - much appreciated!
Yes, they're chalk, like the majority of cliffs on the south coast. These are not as famous as the White Cliffs of Dover, although, co-incidentally, Dame Vera Lynn only lives five miles from Seaford!Originally posted by Richard in SmithvilleAre those chalk cliffs, Ray?
All the houses are still lived in - they're former Coastguard properties. The cliffs are at Lat: 50°45'27.52"N, Long: 0° 8'59.54"E in Google Earth. The houses can be found as "Cuckmere Haven," just to the west of the estuary.Originally posted by crokettI'd love to live in the house that you can just see in that pic.

If you right-click on it (in Windows, not sure about Apple OS), one of the menu options is "Set as Background" (Internet Explorer) or "Set As Desktop Background" (Firefox). Feel free to use it!Originally posted by PopeyeThat picture would make a super desktop background.
