    Great day.

Jean and I went for a coastal walk this morning (on her birthday) and had this view of the "Seven Sisters" cliffs from Seaford Head on the Sussex coast (click to enlarge):

Nothing better to do eh. That's the kind of walk I want to take while I'm still alive. Say "Happy Birthday" for me.

Although I'm a little late by now, please wish the LOYL a happy birthday for me!

Beautiful picture. Are those chalk cliffs, Ray? I remember walking along the chalk cliffs ( I think it was Ramsgate) when I was much younger. I thought it was cool that I could pick up chalk right off the ground. There were chalk drawings at my Nan's for days after that trip.

She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Yes, they're chalk, like the majority of cliffs on the south coast. These are not as famous as the White Cliffs of Dover, although, co-incidentally, Dame Vera Lynn only lives five miles from Seaford!

All the houses are still lived in - they're former Coastguard properties. The cliffs are at Lat: 50°45'27.52"N, Long: 0° 8'59.54"E in Google Earth. The houses can be found as "Cuckmere Haven," just to the west of the estuary.

If you right-click on it (in Windows, not sure about Apple OS), one of the menu options is "Set as Background" (Internet Explorer) or "Set As Desktop Background" (Firefox). Feel free to use it!
