Ray,
That's a beautiful photo.
A friend sent me this video, as he knew my father flew Spitfires.

Thanks Ray, I knew how but that was my backdoor way of asking for permission.
It did make a super desktop background BTW. Pat

Ray,
Even though I totally abhor Bangers & mashed, Steak & Kidney Pie and any food wrapped in newsprint, Can I come and live with you.
I own some nifty tools and will work for food, how about adopting me.
That's one heck of a good pix, you should try to place it with one of the London based stock houses and make some money on it.
We here in the States are always for great Brit landscapes for ads and editorial.

We don't eat bangers and mash, steak and kidney pie or fish and chips out of newspaper, so you'd be OK. However, pretty soon you'd be moaning about the high cost of living, the wet weather, lack of decent television, etc., etc. - just like we do!Originally posted by Bruce CohenEven though I totally abhor Bangers & mashed, Steak & Kidney Pie and any food wrapped in newsprint, Can I come and live with you. Thanks for the kind comment, but there are literally hundreds of great photographers over here doing just that - and I don't consider myself "great," by any means.Originally posted by Bruce CohenThat's one heck of a good pix, you should try to place it with one of the London based stock houses and make some money on it. We seem to be losing the strong definitions between seasons that I can remember from my childhood, so it all pretty much blurs into nice weather May through October, wet and variable November through April.Originally posted by cgalleryNow I'm hating you. We had the second snowiest winter on record here: 94.8 inches. Great pic. Great camera, too.
It is a great camera, BTW!

LOL, You can hear about high cost of living here, our weather in Missouri, if you don't like, wait 15 minutes.
As for decent TV, IS THERE such a thing? I had two shows I watched. One was canceled, and the other one is FROM YOU guys! (and I have to catch it on You Tube to stay current). She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.Comment

Just think, 420 years ago (minus a couple of months) someone stood on that cliff and saw the Spanish fleet under sail toward Gravelines.

Great shot, Ray. How do you like the 10D? I have a couple of lenses for my K-1000. I'm pretty sure they'll fit the 10D too.
Happy B-Day to Jean.

Any Pentax K-fit lens will mount on the K10D, although AF lenses are preferred above manual and D series above all.Originally posted by Ed62How do you like the 10D? I have a couple of lenses for my K-1000. I'm pretty sure they'll fit the 10D too.
I love the camera. I had a Z1 before and wanted to use the lenses from that on the K10D body. Worked fine, but because of the size of the sensor compared to 35mm film, a 50mm lens becomes a 75mm lens (and so on) with digital cameras.

Very beautiful scene, Ray. Sorry to chime in so late but I stay on the run and miss much because of it. I would like to see it personally someday as I have been on 4 continents.. but again I probably won't have time to do all the things I would like to do at this stage of the game.
Back to the shop as I'm passing through...
