    I don't get it--maybe it's just me...

As you might know, we have a little flooding going on around St. Louis right now. I've lost count of how many reports of people driving into flood waters and drowning or having to be rescued I've seen in the past couple of days. Despite near-continual warnings to never drive through moving water on a road, people keep doing it! What's so hard to understand?

Too bad the EMS folks can't charge for a rescue caused by the person's own stupidity....

Some people feel a moral imperative to prove how stupid they are. In a simpler time, they would have been removed from the gene pool early on.

We have people here that still insist on walking beside the retention ponds and one or two get grabbed by a gator every year.

I just got back from Batesville, AR, where Me and 4 GrandDaughters went to Mark

Martin's Dealership. He was signing Autographs, and We had to detour 1 1/2 hours out

of the way to get there because of the flood waters. That was Yesterday today the

water was down probably 6". We drove for 18 miles on the highway with lakes on both

sides and this was supposed to be farmland. It was an eye opening trip. Bill
