I like Bill's jokes as much as anyone and I didn't think this one was offensive.

However, there's no bright line (a.k.a. I know it when I see it) that indicates where the slippery slope begins. I would be a shame if folks started competing to see who could push the limits hardest without getting busted.

All we can expect is that the rules be applied fairly and consistently. It should not matter who the poster is. If certain people seem to have "immunity" and others do not, there is a problem. Seen that happen on other forums. Hopefully, it will not come to that here.

It would be nice to see this kind of "posting frenzy" on posts that have some creative value. These threads always get to an interpretation of interpretation of rules and morality.

I am sick and tired of the "Nannies" in our society griping and whining about what others should see and do. If they don't like what's going on, then they have the right to exercise their "free will" and just ignore what offends them.
