    A Different Day

I just turned the volume up to see if my wife could hear it. I could not only hear it, but I could hear it with the volume turned down quite a bit. Quite different from yesterday. Tests have verified that my high frequency hearing is not good, but I heard that with no trouble.

Do you know about kickback? Ray has a good writeup here... https://www.sawdustzone.org/articles...mare-explained

I heard it, my aussie growled at it. My volume is set to the mid range in windows.

I have recently had my annual hearing test for work. I have normal hearing though I am losing some midrange hearing, which they said was normal.

My volume on the QT player is set at 100%, while in windows the volume for the speakers is set at ~50%

I couldn't hear it, didn't think I would after years of being around race cars and working with air tool and no hearing protection. Woke the dog up out of a soud sleep though. LOML could hear it and she has normal hearing for a 60+ person.

Wow that's an annoying sound. What's the age limit on that?

Ouch, yes, I can hear that. Now why would somebody want to hurt me by broadcasting that noise?

I couldn't hear it until I put on a set of headphones and cranked it up.... now I know why my daughters 3lb attack chihuahua was going insane the other night when I was trying to hear it (by the way... I'm keeping a copy of that wav file to continue to annoy the barking rodent with )

                  surprised

I was surprised that I could hear it, after the shooting, chainsaws, powertools I've done in the past I figured I wouldn't be able to hear it.

Ok, this intrigued me enough to get the kids out of bed! LOL!

I can hear it (35 years old), wife can not hear a thing (35 year old), 10 year old son immediately covered his ears, interestingly 5 year old can't hear it!

I have pretty good 40 year old hearing, but I could only hear it once I maxed out the volume on my laptop and put my ear directly up to the speaker.

Prior to that though, I could "feel" it. When I had the volume up, I could feel tension in the back of my neck/scalp. Once I put my ear to the speaker i could understand why!

I said no but sometimes I thought I heard something. My wife also could not hear it. I'm 52, I'm not going to say how old she is but she isn't as young as she looks.
