The exemption limit is now $12,000 before any gift taxes are considered. Anyone of us can give up to $12k to both Sam and Adele before gift taxes need to be declared and paid. So Sam if you are not running BT3Central as an incorporated business then I don't think you should be treating the annual fund drive as income. You should question your accountant on this.

There are still a bunch of sponsorships available, from mud flaps to back seat to roof rack, so I wanted to keep the thread on top.

I bet the mail at Sam and Adele's yesterday and today will be full of surprises...

UPDATE: $1820 + a few more mailed checks

Again, folks... my sincerest thanks go out to each and every one of you. What was looking like an impossible situation has turned into an incredible personal blessing.

If you haven't seen the potential new BT3Mobile, check out this thread.

You can name the stereo (I assume it's got tunes???) after me. If it's already spoken for, I'll take the glove compartment.

It's got an AM/FM Cassette. I'll make sure and place a GERMDOC label on it if I get it. Thanks.

              Back Seat?

Finally got my PayPal account fixed! I'll take the back seat or anything else you can get with $25. I am sure it will all works out for Sam & Adel.

Oooh, you lucked out, because this excellent sponsorship opportunity was still open:

Door locks and handles--four at $10, $25 for all

IMO, that's a lot more bang for the buck than the $35 back seat.

As usual, I just about missed the party. We just got back from a week in Tennessee and I'm playing catch up. Anywho, just sent $50 to Sam & Adele via PP. Hope they find something that can haul some lumber!

I hope you had better luck in Tennessee than I did! My van died on the north side of Knoxville and still sits in a parking lot awaiting sale to a scrap yard!

That converted into sponsorship of the back seat and the back seat fold-down hinge and latch--so don't think you missed the party!
