    Sorry Loring, I was being sarcastic. If it were only our thumbs that made us dominant than we be in competition with the apes, of course it is our brains that make us the most dominant (along with the thumbs)

    My whole point in this thread was to question the logic as to why certain individuals believe that wildlife should fear us simply because we are human. The animals I am pointing out have no idea or care that we have large brains, thumbs or the ability to make weapons. It comes down to the basic instinct they have when hungry or threatened, we don't stand a chance when matched against them physically.
