I have been having some really bad allergies here lately, decided it was time to see a doctor, which would be the first time I have seen one since moving here.
So I ask the LOML to set up an appointment for me. Last night, she tells me I got a 10 o'clock set up this morning and specifies it's a female doctor. Not giving it much thought I say okay and go back to what I was doing. She stands there for a moment and says out of the blue, "don't flirt with her either!"
Now when I say the love of my life, I mean it, I wouldn't ever dream of cheating on her, she's it for me, I can't possibly do any better and tell her every day.
Confused look on my face, I say okay and go back to what I was doing and again, "I mean it, you better not flirt with her."
Now she's got my attention and I ask why? She said, "don't worry about it, just don't flirt with her."
My experience or luck has always been that a female doctor = middle aged married not very attractive.
So I am sitting there in the room waiting. Door opens and let's just say it wasn't what I expected.
I guess she noticed something was up and asked if there was something wrong (she had to repeat everything twice for me, as I was a bit distracted). I told her I was tired, I had just got off a 10 hour shift.
The LOML works for doctors office, so I put 2 and 2 together and ask the doc if she knew anyone over at the other office that my wife works at and of course she knows all the doctors over there. I gather my wife asked around at work and she was recommended with a warning.
Sorry had to share it someone, like I said in my experience it just doesn't happen to me.
Worst part is, after some discussion on family medical problems, the doctor wants me to re-schedule for a follow-up in two weeks and to have my cholesterol checked and physical done.
Not sure I would be able to handle the physical.
