Good luck on getting Airstream raised on the bottle, I don't think that is all that easy. But I think he/she is in great hands!

Someone said there's a lot of that goin around. Here's a thread over at Woodnet to prove it. http://www.forums.woodnet.net/ubbthr...lapsed&sb=5&o=

This fella had to tear up half of his front porch to get the little critter out. Again, just a solitary little kitten.

Good for you rescuing the kitten! Anthough, it's hard to resiste, isn't it?

I've got 4 cats that are a whole litter rescued from the farm that LOML's horse is kept on, and they are some of the best cats around. Rescues are the way to go.

Looks like you could end up with a long haired cat there.

Figured it was time for an update...

After a visit with the Vet and talking to the neighbors that own 'Momma', he was probably only a wek old when I found him. The vet said the odds of a kitten that young surviving being bottle fed is less than 50/50.

Airstream beat the odds and turned 6 weeks old last Wednesday. He is healthy and almost 2 pounds. He still wants milk from a bottle but is now eating cereal from a dish. He has 2 speeds, sleep and CHARGE, and he's into everything!

That's pretty cool Pappy, glad to hear he's doing good. Wasn't real big on cats myself until recently after spending some time around a neighbors Seal Point Siamese, I think I want one for the shop now.

Very cool, Pappy. And ain't we the proud papa? I used to have a dog with a spot like that on his head, but he got it from chasing parked cars...

That's great Pappy! Glad you have a new friend. I'm afraid we're about to loose one of our cats. Slick is in the 16 year range and has been some serious health issuses. He goes to the vet today for an evaluation.

Like Hank, I missed this thread initially, too.

Airstream is now about the size -- or maybe a little bigger -- of the kitten I found on my bike ride last Thursday,. She's now living in my shop until I find her a home, but I'm already getting attached to her. No name yet, although "Jointer" might be appropriate as she has chosen the cutterhead guard on that machine as her special place to sleep.

Anyway, that's a fine looking little pal you have there. You done good. I love to read stories like this.
