UFO's - Believe It Or Not

I watch the UFO shows on TV and wonder what the heck is the truth. I guess if a spaceship shaped like a Melmac saucer landed in Times Square, and little green people walked out, the disbelief would pretty much be over.

I'm torn between all the testimonials by some very responsible people, and the hoax's that were found out. Even going back to the Roswell incident. There were so many conflicting reports, it leaves an unanswered question looming about what really happened.

Part of my thinking says that we, as a society only got off the ground in the last century. We have somewhat of an educated guess about life within our solar system. But, outside our galaxy, we have little real knowledge of what's going on. If there is life somewhere else, and their scientific research just preceeded ours by a few hundred years, they may be so technically advanced beyond our comprehension. Will there be a time when a UFO will be no longer "unidentified"? And, then there's also the stories about "abduction by aliens".

So, what's our learned group think about UFO's and little green people? This has nothing to do with Bruce's Magic Elves.

....which remind's me of a Far Side toon. Two guys out at a lake at night. One shinning a flash light on a frog. He says, "See, just shine the light in their eyes and they just stare at it which makes them real easy to catch."
The other guy is standing next to him looking up into the sky at another large beam of light pointing down.

I certainly think there is life elsewhere. The chances of there being a society of far more advanced beings are pretty good. The chances we will ever know about them aren't so good.
The sky would likely fall on our heads before visiting Alien beings are confirmed by evidence.

As screwed up as this circus in space is do you really think they want us to know they exist?

I think there a chance for life elsewhere within the universe. But I think other planets would just as likely go through cycles like we have. So whether that life is "advanced such as ourselves" or just beginning over, is hard to say. Or maybe it existed but got wiped out due to their own global warming.

I do believe that there are others in this universe and that our planet has been visited/observed by some of them.

I also think there have been some attempts to conceal evidence of these visits by governments to avoid panic or chaos.

Hmmm, let's see, if we identify them as Unidentified, then they are not technically unidentified, because they have been identified as "unidentified". .

Sorry, maybe I grew up to close to Wright Patterson AFB and hangar 17.

Have fun and keep looking up, (or maybe next door)

I think the government underestimates the American capacity for apathy.
The only ones who will panic are the doomsday fanatics and the religious zealots.

I still can't believe that all those crop circles were man-made. If they never showed how they did it, I would'nt believe a couple of guys with plywood strapped to their feet could do such a thing. Now that is talent! Some are truly amazing.

Saw that video of the energy ball going through a crop, then a circle appearing where it went a little later. It always made me think, with all the physics questions, if we someday learned to control some of it (faster then light, would go back in time), how would we A, Prove it and B, learn to control it.
Sending particles of energy back in time, and drawing complex patterns in crops, seems like a non invasive fairly well documented way of doing it.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

I don't spend much time worring about "little green men" but I do believe in UFOs, I've seen them myself on one occasion. I worry more about illegal aliens from this planet than I do from outerspace.

I think anyone inclined toward thinking there is intelligent life other than on this planet would enjoy reading the books by Zechariah Sitchin.

Wikipedia sums them up nicely, so I won't bother:
                        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zechariah_Sitchin

Your library almost certainly has these, check them out. I thought they were very compelling.

To be fair and balanced, a lot of people disagree with Sitchin.
                        http://www.sitchiniswrong.com/

Me, I don't really know. But I enjoyed reading Sitchin's books.

I can hook you up with some primo Martian mahogany. It's green of course, but machines just like the regular stuff. The sawdust smells like apple peelings. It's just the thing if you're working on an Illudium Q36 explosive space modulator.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was life on places other than earth. But will they look like little green men? I doubt it. I also doubt *that* life would have 2 eyes, 2 arms, and 2 legs, with a torso. Would that life need oxygen and water? Maybe, maybe not. We only know what life on earth needs.

Do I believe we've been visited by life from outer space? Possibly, but even if we have been, we might not know it. Do I think they came in what everyone thinks a UFO looks like? No.
