Now that we have your take on money, and your appreciation of quality craftsmanship, I might take you up on you contributing to my Hummer fund.

Not a chance! Unless I could cheat. There are far too many times when I find a need for something that is simply not available at which times I just head out tothe shop and make it myself. Even though I have plenty of other hobbies and most of them have taken somewhat of a back burner woodworking works within the family structure. Kids enjoy learning about it. Although it is possible that my son's interest is only because he wants to be just like dad.

With a million dollars I'd want to build my own house on acreage large enough to not have to put up with neighbors. Be hard to do without being a woodworker.

        Morning Hank...

And I know why you would turn down the money. Anyone living in Japan that can afford steak or gas there... already has the money! he..........

Just kiddin' of course. My life doesn't evolve around money but it is essential none the less. So show me the money as this is only a hypo-thetical question and I doubt any will be faced with the decision!

BTW.. What happens at that secret under-ground wood-shop I built with the money you showed me is kind of like what happens at Area 51. Ain't none of anyone's business but mine. What happens there.. stays there as I see it from my rebellious southern perspective. ha.. ha... ha..ha..ha..

        Regards...

Money is either your master or a tool to give you the freedom to do what you want to do. I already give up 8-10 hours a day of my freedom. Money can't have any more of my time.

What if I had a million bucks (or more)? well, the house compound would include a sizable out building mainly for woodworking and all the free time in the world to use it. I'd kind of be like "The Lady and the Locket". That said, I could do a lot for my family's future and security with a million bucks and that's worth more then woodworking (although I'd regret losing the hobby everyday).

Neither is mine. There are several things worth more than money, in my opinion. But in this case, show me the green.
