Many thanks, Bill. I did wonder if I'd make 65
In Oz, it's now official - I'm an "Aged" person Unfortunately, my current income precludes me from getting most of the perks. Shouldn't complain though - I couldn't support my WW habit on the level of our welfare!Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mm -

Happy Birthday Rod!
I remember when you came to Tokyo also. I never did tell you about that afternoon and all the troubles I had in the rain.
After we met, I went back to the office for an hour and then decided to take an early bullet train back to Nagoya/Toyota. I got into Nagoya station at 3:00 PM and the wind was blowing terrible. (A typhoon coming through that I was not aware of.) My bullet train was the last one into Nagoya for about 6 hours due to the typhoon- and they run about every 5 to 6 minutes. From there I took a local subway/train to Toyota, an hour's ride.
About 15 minutes before arriving in Toyota, I called LOML and told her to pick me up at the train station. She said "Fend for yourself, I am not driving in this weather."
I got to the station and no busses were running. ONE taxi was there. It cost the equivalent of $25.00 for about 5 kilometers but I got home in horizontal rain. I read that the train that I arrived into Toyota was the last one in until about 10 PM.
I remember that day well. Started out great in Tokyo , just ended on a wet note back home.
Happy Birthday Again!Hank Lee

Thanks for thinking of me guys.
Hank - People in Oz have no idea of the weather conditions those in other countries have to endure. Most of our "nasties" tend to hit sparsly populated areas.
