Help with a funny, You know your addicted to woodworking when

My father made a comment that got me started:

You know your addicted to woodworking when:

    1. You chew toothpicks, to tell what kind of wood they are.
    2. Your "gun" rack, in the truck, holds clamps, an axe, and a whittling knife.
    3. You volunteer to "help" someone elses project, because it gets you in the shop.

Let's see how big we can make this, and in case your wondering, he said I should make a "clamp" rack for the truck.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

You mean you don't have a clamp rack in the truck?

....you see cords of stacked firewood as potential masterpieces waiting on a repreive.

You know your addicted to woodworking when:

Your friends are sick you take their measurements and offer to build them a coffin because you think that would be a great project.

You can walk by a construction area at work and identify the tool being used as well as what it is cutting/bolting/drilling etc just by the sound. On a good day you can identify the manufacturer.

...you call in sick to get some shop time without interruptions

...you pick out the mistakes on stuff being sold at high-end stores

...you bring the latest Garrett Wade catalog to the bathroom with you

...you can spell *and* pronounce both Padauk and Bubinga

...you spend more time with the tools then you do your kids

...and the workbench is cleaner and neater than your own office desk!

...you gauge your latest raise at work by how many more tools you can buy now.
...you have to wipe the drool off the latest catalog before it goes into the 'reference stack'.
...you watch NYWS and complain to the LOML about all the things Norm is doing wrong.
...you don't complain about scraping frost in the morning because you know your tools are safe from the weather.

Oh, and IMO, anyone with a clean shop does not actually produce anything...with apologies to Rod, of course.

... when you have to step in and check on the shop before leaving for work.

... when your scrap bin contains more wood than your lumber rack.

... when you sometimes just go stand in the shop and do nothing.

... when you keep the woodworking sales flyers for months (even after they are long expired).
