Table saw in Movie - Walk the Line

Anyone see the movie Walk the Line (story of Johnny Cash)? A table saw plays an important part in the movie.

About a minute into the movie you see Johnny Cash looking at a nasty table saw and unguarded blade in the prison shop at Folsom prison where he's doing a concert. He flashes back to his childhood (I figure 1940 or so) and his brother is operating a big 'ole table saw ripping some beams with what looks like a big sled and big belt drive and something bad happens...

I saw the movie and kinda knew what was going to happen. Of course with three adult daughters, I think I heard the whole story verbatum before I saw it.

I started squirming as soon as I saw the table saw.

Saw the movie, and spotted that nasty setup right away.

I know the story of Johnny Cash pretty well, so when I saw the table saw, I knew what was happening. Johnny grew up about 10 miles from where I grew up. Bill

            Bill,

Those cotton fields that they pictured in the move were shot just south or Memphis in Tunica county on my next door neighbor's farm. I didn't know that when I watched the movie, but I did point out to LOML that the cotton fields pictured there were not the kind that they had back in Johnny Cash's childhood. The rows in the fields were waaaay too long and the woods/trees were to far away. Just not the same picture of cotton fields of the 30's 40's or even 50's.
