They say that they are made from a single block and have no seams or joints. I was thinking a scrollsaw, but some are over 5 inches thick.

Bandsaw: would leave joints or a seam. They specifically say none.

router: if you look closely at the pics the drawers appear to be solid also, He would have to have a 5 inch long router bit to go through some of those blanks. at about an 1/8th in in diameter, I wouldn't want to try.

jigsaw to slice thru the bulk, maybe :?) Snap the slices off. Then route the rough remainder...

sorry, thought we were specifically talking about the horizontal boxes.

The vertical boxes are bandsaw boxes, I'm pretty sure the horizontal ones were hollowed out with a router.

along the same lines, the box in this link was done on a bandsaw.

This started out as a solid block. I was just goofin' around, but I'm sure I probably could have cleaned it up good enough that you'd be hard pressed to find the seams where I cut certain pieces in half then reglued them back together.

it sounds to me like they are milling out the insides with a router (could even be a CNC router if they ponied up the bucks and have the volume.
Didn't say handmade.

They more or less hinted that there was no seams indicating it was not a bandsaw box but it also said a single piece of wood which might not rule out badnsaw, I think it may depend on the depth and style of the box.
