That is wonderful news!! I am glad your prayers were answered. At last those kids can count on the stable and loving home that they deserve. Now you can relax, get in the shop and make things for those grand kids.

      Bill,

This is wonderful news. You are the best thing that could happen to those kids.

Is the visitation monitered? Does she have to show that she is drug free?

      Again, congratulations.

Bill, your granddaughters are lucky they have GP's like you. I know it's not easy to do something like this to your own kids, but when you are looking out for the best interest of a child, you simply can't go wrong. The judge realized that. He/she is just trying to give their mom one last chance. If she screws it up, He/she will take that chance away too.

Congrats on a job well done. And keep doing the right things for them.

                    Bill -

That's great news! Of course, the best hope for the future is that your DIL gets her act together, but the chances of that is slim, given what all she's done up till now.

If losing your kids doesn't affect a life-changing change, then nothing else will, and you're beyond salvation.

That's what grandparents are for.....unconditional love and support.

I know that the Judge did have some feelings toward the Mother, I do too. However the Judge hasn't had to hold those children and love and calm them down after a trip to their Mothers.

I have slept on the floor beside the 13 year old GrandDaughters bed and held Her hand until She could go to sleep. When She woke up I would still be there, because She needed that security.

They have been in Our Home for over 4 years, the Judge said that they needed the security and sense of belonging , so He ruled in Our favor. I Thanked Him, and shook His han, although He said it wasn't necessary.

Now if I had the money We spent on legal fees, We could take a heck of a vacation.
