    Signture and Avatar reset

    I noticed AFTER my first few posts on the upgrade that my signature was not there. I noticed that a few posters signatures were, but also that many of the posters here did not have their normal signatures and tag lines showing up below their post.

    Here is how to do it:

    1. Click on your "user name" or go to your Profile,
    2. Under User Profile, CLICK on EDIT SETTINGS,

    3. "profile / account / privacy / . . ."
    -> Click on "Account"

    4. Scroll down to "Visible Post Elements"
    Click on "Show Sigs"
    Click on "Show Avatars" (if you want)

    5. (THIS IS CRITICAL - I Think) Choose "Edit Post Signature" and in the bottom right, click SAVE;

    6. Scroll down to bottom of page and "Save Changes". I had to do TWO saves, one at #5 and one at #6 to get my sig line to work correctly.

      I can see yours but not mine.

        I see yours, both the sig and your avatar.

          Suddenly, I don't see mine in the above post, but it is on the original post of this thread. What is going on?

          It's working again.

          I had to go back and edit #5 and #6. The correct way listed there. Seems like a redundancy in saving, but both are needed for mine to work.

            It seems that the new version is more user friendly to portable devices, while the older versions were designed for desktops and laptops. On a small screen extra stuff like signatures and large avatar images do not render well. Perhaps the software package is not quite advanced enough yet. Someday I bet it will be able to distinguish the device the user has and format for what is most important for that device. I think the current version needs work. I also think that it is worth it in the long run to adept to how it works. The desktop generation is a dying one. To be relevant in the future we need to be targeting portable devices IMHO. Hopefully we can fix the bugs so the forum displays correctly for all of us using older technology.
