Natural edge lidded pot with finial from White Ash, Camphor and Kiawe

    Hi SDZ family,
I've been away a short while, dealing with some stuff - some may recall the unexpected death of my sister's 26yo son, then her diagnosis with stage 4 bladder cancer, and more recently, my (widowed) mom (84) was diagnosed with a tumor in her colon (she's now recovering from that surgery, very slowly). So between tyring to be there for my sister, be the primary care-giver for my mom, attend to my own family and keep up the day job, I haven't had much shop time. I appreciate those who have been praying for us. I had committed to donate some turnings for the annual charity auction of the Cornerstone Center for Children in St. Louis, MO, and this is one I managed to squeeze out some time to complete.

For those interested in video, YouTube link at bottom. Thanks for watching.

Very nice looking work Bill. I like the natural edge, the designs and the finial too!

Thanks Hank. It was good to have a moment in the shop to work out some woodturning therapy.

Very nice Bill! Now I have to watch the video to see how you did the rope bead.
