        The wood is Tipa Colorado, a South American hardwood. No, I didn't know this before, I did a Google search to find out! Got it at Sumner Woodworker not knowing anything about selecting wood. Was pretty easy to work with, other than my technique and lack of sharpening skills. The color is a little pinker than the picture shows.
