    Sandpaper?

I am looking for a source that sells good quality/price of wet/dry sandpaper in larger quantities/selection that could be found in harware store. Purchasing 3M or Norton in 5 sheet packs is expensive. I would appreciate it if someone would recommend a seller on eBay, or a product from another retailer that they have had good experience with. Thanks.

Klingspor is an option I've heard good words about. I've only just looked through their catalog though.

Klingspor is reliable and good quality, but you might want to try comparing prices, especially on non-sandpaper items. I find their prices to be excessive on most other products.
Comparing sandpaper to theirs is difficult though, because they don't use the conventional brands like Norton. I believe they either manufacture themselves or buy from relatively obscure places/manufacturers.

Check your local phone book for a local supplier to auto body shops. They will have a wide selection of types, grits, sizes and manufacturers.

It wouldn't hurt to spend a little time going through the yellow pages. I buy most of my paper from Abrasives South - they deal with commercial products and I can get a box full of end rolls for a few dollars. The only drawback is that they don't always have a large variety of grits ... the paper is commercial quality though.

edit: they don't list these in their catalogue so I had to ask

The last time I ordered sandpaper it was from Holbren. He carries the Norton 3X brand.

my favorite sand"paper" now is Abranet , made by Mirka . search that on ebay.grits from 60 to 600 or so (then theres abralon from 500 to 4,000!) .its fantastic for woodturning especially...think of it like abrasive screen-door material, its a mesh so the dust falls right through and doesnt clog up..also lasts way longer than any paper i've used.
well worth the price. i bought a box of each grit like 3 years ago, still got plenty of it.

klingspor does also carry it, but better prices on ebay
