    Walnut Blanks

Long Story, I had to order some more cherry flooring, as I didn't have as much as I thought. While talking to the Owner on the phone, We got around to turning. I mentioned turning pens, He wanted to know the size of blanks, and when I told Him He said He would send Me the 3/4" cut offs that were going to be burned. This will be kiln dried and should turn beautiful, When I get this in, I will see what it is and will be glad to share if You pay shipping to You. He will be running Walnut for the next 3 weeks, so it may be a little later. Let Me know. Thanks, Bill

What a great find that is! Always helps to make friends with people who manufacture things from wood. Many years ago, I used to get cutoffs from a water-ski factory. I must have built a hundred speaker cabinets from beautiful pieces of hardwood of many species, and never paid a penny. A good supply of cheap (free) cutoffs is a hobbyists wet dream...

You are right, I just wish they were closer, they are closer to Oklahoma than where I live. Bill
