    Christmas Turnings

Well I finally turned something. I made 12 pens, 28 screwdrivers, and 14 pair

of candlestick holders. I used Walnut for candlestick, cherry, maple and

walnut for the screwdrivers. I used some walnut and exotics for the pens.

All of My photos are too large to post so You'll have to take My word for it.

    Bill

They look better than any I have done Bill! ;-D

Bill, on the screwdrivers, I have some kits from Penn State and the 'bushing' that goes into the 5/8" hole is hex shaped, and gets epoxy'ed into the round hole. Have you had any issues getting the epoxy to fill the low places in the hex shape? I am assuming that this hex epoxyed into a round hole is what keeps the shank from turning in the handle???
              Thanks
              Ken

uploading photos to photobucket.com will automatically resize them,(bt3 might do this as well?)

Wow, those certainly look better than the ones I haven't posted pictures of. Looks like you made a big dent in your Christmas list there Bill, I'm sure the receipients will appreciate them

My kits came from Rockler and were round with splines. They go in with a

gentle push, so I am sure that the epoxy is what is really doing the job of

                    holding it for use. Bill

Pictures work well, and well done. I like the background on the pens. Very appropriate!
