A rather large Elm tree was just taken down in the neighborhood, and I can take as much wood as I want for turning. But:
1) Do I risk spreading that nasty disease by taking the wood?
2) Is it a nice wood to turn? I read it is very stable but has a rather pungent smell when turning. Is it nicely figured?
Thanks
Gerd
