    Pen for coworker

A coworker of mine was kind enough to "donate" some really old wood from his stack (either a pear or plum tree he cut down six years ago sitting in his garage), so I made him this pen as a way of thank-you for the free wood (free wood also being used as prop):

That is some pretty wood. I have some chunks from a peach tree we lost set aside to cut into boards and pen blanks.

I have never tried pear or peach for that matter but I did have a friend bring me some cumquat branches that I cut up and am drying.

      Very nice pen BTW.

Pretty grain in the wood - nice job on the pen.
