selecting a paint color for mods to the lathe?

I am upgrading my HF 34706 lathe by enclosing the back, sides and front as I've seen posted on here. The concept of the project was to use up some shipping crate material my 15" planer and 10" cabinet saw came in, along with using up some leftover paint that was leftover when the previous owner of the house moved out, as this would provide a basically no cost upgrade to the lathe (enclosing the base and creating a cabinet. I have all the 1 X 4 board, hinges and hardware I need to do the project on hand. So a zero cost upgrade is preferable.

The wood has been cut to shape and everything's finished except for painting the wood and final install. The problem is, there's only two colors of semi-gloss paint: Forest Green and a fairly dark purple. I do have some contractor white paint (white with some grey in it), but it's flat and isn't washable. I'm undecided about what to use up, but I know I will not use most of this paint anywhere else.

So the question is, do I use the forest green or purple semi gloss or do I use the contractor white in flat? BTW, staining this gawd awful chinese junk plywood isn't an option and my lathe is of course, Harbor Freight green.

I'm cheap and green looks better than you other choices, especially purple!

I suppose I should note that I'm in college at the moment and not working, so my budget is very limited compared to normal.

Didn't vote, as my option would be green with purple accents or the other way around depening on how the colors would rub me!

Does anybody know what color you get when you mix the forrest green with the purple? Is it brown? IF so, that might be a solution. Brown would look OK with green I'm thinking. I dunno if you guys notice, but paint AIN'T my specialty.

                Purple???!!!!!
use the white for contrast, the green would be an odd contrast.

Just in case you haven't made your decision, I'd go with purple. Who else has a purple lathe? Unless it is a color you absolutely hate of course.
