    Gloat

I went into Woodcraft Friday morning for their wood show and for the sale price on the Titebond III grabbed the 32 oz jug and headed for the register.
I took the LOML w/ me and figured anything else would be out of the question. She noticed some of the turned bowls, pens etc and asked how they did that.
Short story, 30 minutes later I was walking out w/ a Jet mini lathe and a set of Robert Sorby turning tools. I got it at $245 w/ a $25 mail in rebate and a free bed extension.
Needless to say, I'll be taking the LOML to Woodcraft more often.

Pappy, you don't need to swap wives. Jock's wife says it's OK for you to buy those clamps, and pick up a Tormek. And she says, by the way, pick up a Tormek for Jock as well for his new Sorby tools.

LOML went to Woodcraft once with me. When we got home she said that was the last time, she didn't want to know how much money I spend there. At least she has never complained about anything that followed me home.

Yep, I was totally shocked, still shocked. Went into spend 9 bucks on some wood glue and came out w/ a lathe. Turning was one of those things I thought I would get into eventually, not this weekend though.

Sounds like one heck of a gloat to me, especially with a set of Sorbies for that price. Good Score!!

I am going to Woodcraft in a few minutes. Maybe I should wait until my wife gets home and see if she wants to ride over there with me. I may get lucky also.

Hey, that's great! When she finds out how much you spend on extra chisels, chucks, etc., she may rethink letting you go into Woodcraft...

I had to go back today and get the free bed extension they didn't have any when I bought the lathe. Anyway, thought I would check out the chucks, good grief! It was almost as much as I paid for the lathe. This is why I figured I would eventually get into turning, the expense.
I played with it for a little bit today and I love it already.
