Dave: Thanks for the tip. I do remember reading about the sandbags, etc. in another thread on the 34706. Good idea.

Chris: I got Keith Rowley's book at B&N today. I had planned on finally taking the lathe out of the box tonight, but am now finding it difficult to put the book down (I just had to step away from it for a little while to get my daily dose of BT3Central). There's nothing cheap about lounging in a bookstore for hours and not buying a single book. Eventually, you get up from the chair and order a latte or two, which end up costing you more than any of the books that you browsed.
The war against inferior and overpriced furniture continues!

It is amazing to me how nowadays they've come with all these ways to charge you incredible prices for stuff that is basically a cup of coffee, just by calling it some cutsie chick name. I used to buy that stuff, but now I've gone back to just telling them I wanna cup of coffee with cream and sugar. It sure cuts down on the price and ya seem to get more. I guess I remember my Dad ordering coffee because refills were free. Times, they do change a bit, usually not for the better related to prices.
