Shop cleanup progress, playing the what is in that nasty old tool bag game!

So my late wifes cat has been a bit problematic as she gets mad and pees on things she shouldn't. The most recent carnage, she got herself locked in my shop and decided to pee on the Stanley box / case that I keep the oscillating multi tool in. Ruined a bunch of the fingernail size sanding pads, and required a good scrubbing of the box and wipe down of the remaining contents with sanitizing wipes... But it is done.

My old blue Ryobi reciprocating saw that came with a tool bag, well the tool bag died a LONG time ago, and I found it VERY difficult to find a suitable replacement. I stowed it away in one of my large tool bags and more or less forgot about it.

Well a suitable replacement was found, a DeWalt recip saw bag just happens to be the right size for the Ryobi, and includes good blade storage as well...

Now just where did I stash that nasty oversized tool bag?

Walked past it 7 or 8 times before I figured out, that isn't my jig saw!

Got the new bag loaded, and the tool shelf is not repopulated the way it should be!

All of my old blue/yellow Ryobi One+ tools came in those molded plastic cases. I long ago sent them to recycling and the tools hang from Ryobi clip on lanyards. For job site work, I acquired this tote. It holds a lot of stuff.

Storage is my bane. It takes two or three tool boxes for almost any one job for my girls or neighbors. And no single job is the same as the other - meaning different tools each time.

I went through the tool BAG storage and quickly realized I didn't remember what was in each. My mistake was getting dark colored canvas bags - preventing me from using magic markers to label them! White Tape (to write tool names) didn't stick well either.

I have some small handheld corded tools, sander, grinder, palm router, and they all went into black canvas bags. I used silver sharpie to mark what is in the bags...
