I got the Craftsman version of it a couple of years ago on closeout for about $150. I compared my manual to the Steel City manual at the time, and the machines and instructions appeared identical. It's a pretty good little machine, in my opinion. Maybe offer $150 and see what the seller says.

I think it depends on the bits.
Wood River has a mortiser that sells for about $300 (with bits)
Grizzly has a unit with bits for $250 (great buy, in my opinion)
Harbor Freight sells a unit for $189 - but without bits.
I think Steel City machines go for about $400 new ---- so the price sounds fairly reasonable.
Guess I'd just make sure the bits look good.Leave a comment:
