    The inventor of the circular saw might just surprise you!

    I have seen the reference elsewhere, but still it is internet information, no telling how true or not something is right? But if this is true, I think many folks would be shocked to know that the person that invented the circular saw, was a Shaker Woman from back in the 18th Century....

    The wiki seems to be inconsistent:

    The circular saw was in common use a century or more before Sister Tabitha was born. She is credited with applying it to saw mills, but even that usage predates her.

    Other claims place the invention in the 1500's, and some sources place it even earlier. It's likely one of those things were the true invention and origin will never be determined.
