    Router table micro adjuster

I just received a fence for my router table and today I made a micro adjuster for it based on an idea I stole from the internet. I think it's self-explanatory but I'll answer any questions.

i presume the wood block is threaded and the adjusting knob and threaded/sprung rod retracts through the wood block. In the picture it appears that the knob-threaded rod is all the way forward, right?

the spring is to take up any backlash?

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

The wood block is not threaded. The knob on the rod either pushes or pulls the fence. The spring is for when the rod is pushing the fence.

oh i get it - the knob is threaded and the rod is threaded. Some days I think i'm slow.
The rod is fixed and the spring keeps the fence forward and the knob loaded against the wood block. When you turn the know the knob rotates but the rod does not, it pulls the rod back and the fence being attached to the rod also comes back.
