    Paint Zoom Paint Sprayer

Anyone have this turbine sprayer? Opinions?

Listed on WOOT for 24.99. Great deal if it is a good unit.

Home depot reviews aren't bad, and one of the 1 star reviews should have been a 5 if you read it. Does talk of overspray and hard to clean. At this price I may go for it myself!
We all have to go sometime, just not yet!

Just checked the reviews on Amazon. Not so stellar....

      5 star 24
      4 star 14
      3 star 6
      2 star 15
      1 star 34

Most of the complaints were of clogging, noisy, or the hose getting too hot and breaking.

Think maybe I'll stick with my Wagner electric for outside work and my compressor/guns for finish work. The time line for the next project I would use it on would probably put me outside the return time frame.

I have to question a lot of the reviews, not just on paint guns but on may items.
Concerning paint guns.... I have never seen one that was not a pain to clean and do not think one has ever been built that was easy to clean. I own 3 different types of guns and scrub each one pretty good after each use and they still look like crap. At least no one will want to borrow them.
The only times I have trouble with clogging in my guns is when I skip the most important part, always strain your paint when you pour it into the gun.
Overspray,,,,duuh, it is a spray gun. Being good a STUPID does not count, if you do not want paint on it, cover it up and tape it off.
One review I recently read was from a person that said in his introduction, I do not own a_______ but I would think that, and went on to recite what he thought would happen. At least he went ahead and disqualified himself on his first sentence. Other reviewers I have to guess that they did not have a clue what the machine was intended to do or how to use it.

I agree that user reviews have to be taken with a grain(Maybe a pound!) of salt. I look for comments, both pro and con, that are consistent across the range of ratings.

In this case, one that stood out was the hose failure from the heat produced by the turbine.
