      It is my first woodie. I'm going to sharpen the blade and see what happens. My gut-feeling is that you and Bob's (Carpenter96) friend are correct and that I will have to flatten the bed. Thanks for the input Erik.

          I'm getting old. What is it that I knew? I probably knew I knew but didn't know that you didn't know that I knew but I've forgotten now.

            Wow! Where are we at now? 1) Sharpen the blade and try it out. 2) If there is chatter remove the blade and use a float to make the hole flatter for the blade to lie on. I believe that is it.
