FWIW, I've been very happy with my LU87R010 blade (from Amazon)
That's a good read. I've bought a few blades from KnotScott, very fair guy to deal with and i value his opinion. Thanks for delivering the wisdom!!

You nailed it earl, it isn't always just about the sell price anymore but more about the total purchase expense. My days of just jumping in the pick-up and driving across town for a single small item are long gone. I keep a running shopping list for things I need to buy and only purchase them when I'm heading out to the area the store is in and usually only when I can combine more than a couple of stops in the same trip.

Yup, With gas prices hovering(for today) around 3.50 a gal it doesn't make a lot of sense to drive far, guess I'm luckier than most both Lowes,HD,and others are very close together for me,but shipping on this is only $5.99, less than 2 gals of gas. So I would be more inclined to have it shipped or simply find a few other necessary items to get it shipped for free if my stores were not so near. Hey it was just a thought tho Earl, didn't think it necessary to run out but at the same time your having it shipped anyways, but for future reference you can see there's really very little difference in the 2 models unless you plan on resharpening(usually $25 anyways) I'd just buy another spare blade to have around in case one goes south by hitting a nail head or something

Tommy--you're my hero!! About 10 minutes after i replied this afternoon, i got a call to fill in at a meeting for my boss. 78 mile round trip, past an HD both directions. About $45 in mileage, minus about $16 for gas--stopped on the way home and bought the Diable 24t for "free" net (once i turn in my expense report!!). Still have the LU87 coming too.

While i was there, i found a clearance shelf and picked up the last pound on 2 1/2" and 1 5/8" stainless square drive screws for $2.93 each. Wish they'd had more--i use those sizes a lot. Also grabbed some cheap shelf brackets which will solve a storage problem for now.

In all, a very good day.
