That might have been many, many,yrs ago,but to me anything south of the Bronx to Staten Island and as far west as Hackensack over too Queens is pretty much considered NYC, while I was growin up, although I lived in Baltimore we had relatives in Jersey and NY we visited and even back then those were areas we considered NYC, Still do
