Well, Thats Sat morning, Been workin a deal on this all week and its finally come to fruition , http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/tls/2834841121.html , and finally negotiated the price to what we both could agree on,Chris the gent who has it for sale is 75 yrs old and finally going into a retirement community. I have wanted one of these for yrs as Dad had one when we lived in the Carolina's yrs ago and it was absolutely the best planer I had ever used hands down. So 1st I had to get rid of a few things. So a few months back I posted a deal here on the Bosch drill/impact drivers sets at Lowes for $39 and I purchased 2 sets, 1 was a display. I traded just the 1 Bosch Drill driver for this RS1000 which I sold the other day for $250, and today sold another deal I had posted here a while back the Hitachi disc/sander bought at Lowes for $50 for $125 and the guy also bought an old PC100 router I had layin around for another $50 that I p/u at a yardsale for $10. Out of pocket cash for this fine ole Iron Planer that will prolly outlast me will be about $15 including a tank of gas. Can't wait to get her back home and run some boards thru it.Only bad thing is the setup for the blades which can be a pita but Chris swears its only been used about 5 times since he bought it new 38 yrs ago and it looks it to me,He's also throwing in 2 rollers as well Guess I'll see on Sat ,pics to come,

That planer looks like its still new, the paint even looks shiny from the pic and no rust on the posts.... amazing for its age. Sounds like Chris new how to take care of his tools.
