    my 14" BS gloat

just got this at sears on clearance. model number is 22401. it's missing a few parts, which they are sending to complete the saw. from a comparison, it looks very much like a rikon 10-320, albeit with 8" rather than 6" of resaw. regularly priced @ $560, i got it for $100 plus tax. seems to be pretty well made and the online reviews aren't terrible.

                Congrats.

What you save on the saw you'll spend on timberwolf though.

of the four new t-wolf blades i've tried, all had miasligned welds. lennox from iturra has always worked for me.

I have not had that experience with Timberwolf blades. Did you contact Suffolk Machinery about the problem? What was their response?

while they were extremely courteous and tried quite diligently to be helpful, in the end, they could not believe that 4 different blades from 4 different coils of stock could have defective welds. if it hadn't happened to me, i might also have had a hard time believeing it also. when i finally got a properly welded blade from iturra, and saw the remarkable difference it made in the performance of the saw, i chalked it up to a life lesson learned and moved forward. i'm still off their blades.

Congrats! But seriously, how did you manage this, because I so want to suck like you! I need a bandsaw and $100 is certainly a fair budget for what you got new, share how!!

i just keep my eyes open whenever i'm in a store wth tools. this saw was a floor model and was missng parts. i find that, almost without fail, if large retailers are contacted about missing parts in a tool product, they are only too happy to provide them for free. the clearance price was $185, down from $559 retail. i haggled with the manager on duty to get the price down to $100 because of the missing parts. the moral is never be reluctant to ask for a lower price. the worst they can say is no. but if you don;t ask, they can't say yes either.
