For those cuts where the clamp gets in the way, I decided to replace the table, with a drill press style table where I can use hold downs in T track to hold the work steady. I tested it on a spare chunk of 4x4 at various depths cutting a 1/4" x 2 mortise. It is a little ugly looking, but the grip is fantastic... Not to mention it is fast to set up and adjust...
The table is very basic, I took a simple 3/4 piece of CDX ply cut to size, drilled, dadoed, and sanded, cut T track to size, sanded, finished with BLO installed the T Track, ground the tips of the screws that poked through flush (used what I had on hand) and mounted it up. Not super pretty, but what do you expect for a 30 minute including machine setup time project?

As a bonus, I took the time to drag down my blade and bit cleaner, and cleaned by 24T, 40T, and dado blades.... All in all a good day, except the blade cleaner cleaned off the printing from the Oshlun dado set... Ooops...
