Harbor Freight air Compressor

Do any of you guys have any experience with the Harbor Freight 2HP, 29 gallon compressor?

The specs look decent and the price isn't too bad. I need a larger compressor for an up coming project and this is the biggest/badest I've found without going to 220 VAC.

Not familiar with that specific model. But I have a HF 2HP 8 gallon compressor, and aside from spraying, it has done everything I have asked of it, frequently, with LOTS of abuse. A neighbor has a Husky that is just complete trash by comparison...

Spec wise, it looks good. I've looked at these in my newly-opened HF here in Vestal, NY and the price seems very competitive. From my experience (close to 40 years doing tech manuals for the compressor industry), the cast-iron, lubricated cylinder is the way to go. It's comparatively quiet (when compared to an aluminum oil-less), and substantially durable.

You should expect a very long life, providing you maintain it well.

But beyond the "specs" I really don't know the reputation of manufacturer or how their service, with respect to parts availability, is.

have had for a while....works like a champ. not a spec of problems or issues except a bit touchy in really cold weather.
