    recommendations for Laser level

I need a laser level, moderate cost ($50-60 or less?)
I use them to install pictures, shelves, etc.

I'd like it to at least project a level horizontal line onto the wall. A vertical line would be great, too. Don't some of them attach (or held to) to the wall and project out each side and top and bottom? Also the one I had I could put on a tripod and project a line across at least two walls. I have lots of tripods.

Any other useful features (e.g. self leveling vs. having to use a bubble - is self leveling more accurate?)

    B&D BDL310S?

    Talk to me, guys.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Been happy with this self leveling B&D which comes with a tripod but can be removed from the tripod and hung from a string. Can't find it on B&Ds site so I guess its out of production. Bought it for about $40 at Big Lots a couple of years ago.

Don't get that HF level 90980. Mine is a pure POS. I picked up a used one when I was really just wanting to buy a compressor, my wife was doing the deal and I got it sight unseen. A laser pointer duct taped to a bubble level would work just the same...

I have a B&D one like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...PFV7ZFC97Y2WB6 Most of the amazon reviews are fairly accurate. Autolevel works well, but it doesn't have much use further than that. You have to use a pin to stick it on a wall. I usually quick grip it to a length of wood. It's handy. I'm glad mine was on a good sale or I would have been disappointed.

Self leveling is a good feature.

The Stanley Fat Max lasers are decent.
