HF 44991 metal milling machine

not woodworking but this small milling machine with a 20% discount... might help with small metal projects.

So, anyone have any experience with this mill?

That is what I started out using for some shark guard parts. It is a great little mill for manual milling. They have some backlash, but that isn't an issue with manual. When I finished building my cnc, I tore this one apart for various reasons. Used it to help with the mill build. Then scavenged the spindle head for the cnc. The table is now on my big drill press. Sold off a few other parts.

You can get them cheaper. Northern tool, Grizzly, Homier. I think that is where I actually bought mine. Cheaper even than using 20%.

The CNC crowd has kits that will convert these to cnc as well.
They call this style mill and X2.

I think it is well worth the cost if you have a use for it. Don't reule out some precision woodworking with it either.

Last I looked the 20% didn't apply to Central machine items. Check the fine print.
