    Table Saw Value Question

Does this seem right? Is there any way the Harbor Freight saw is worth more then the Ridgid?

    Ridgid Table Saw - $549
    Porter Cable Saw - $549
    Harbor Frieght - $699

Even with the 20% off coupons, they simply won't be selling many of those at prices like that!

no, especially if you remember, as i believe i do, when HF had them regularly priced @ around $400 a few years back.

        Which HF saw?

This is an HF saw that's probably worth more than the PC or Ridgid:

What item is that? looks pretty slick, actually.

As far as the contractor HF saw for $700, I would point out that the extension wings are cast iron, vesus stamped steel (though, they're not solid. I'm not a fan- my Cman has the same type of wings). ALSO, at least on the spec sheet, the motor is 3HP, rather than the 1-3/4 that the Rigid or PC probably are.

I don't even see that one.

            I see this: http://www.harborfreight.com/10-inch...saw-46813.html

It's definitely not worth the price of admission.
I have a little blog about my shop

Is that a Biesemeyer on a HF Saw? What is the world coming to.

It'd be a cold day in he!! that I'd pay $699 for that HF contractor saw!

The cabinet saw may be discontinued now...it was a hot item in the $700 range a couple of years ago. With discounts, some were picking it up for < $500. The reports I read were pretty favorable. The fence was a Biese clone, but definitely not a real Biese.
