    creaton..that's the one i was referencing. there have been opportunities to buy it for less than $500, and it has received many positive comments. no blade tension release is a possible negative. i believe it is either made by rikon or made by the same company that makes them fo rikon.
    there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.

      I just picked up a 28-200 just like it for 100.00 today. needs minor work but for the price I can't complain at all. I didn't get a fence with mine tho but that is easy enough to make. just need a couple of set screws and gonna replace the thrust bearings and guide blocks before I start using it. most parts you might need are still available. I saw a riser kit for it yesterday for 89.00. with the riser kit and the fence it might be worth 200.00

        I think the saw is overpriced for its age. The older saws were better built IMO. Maybe look for a "newer" older saw. For what you want to spend I would just keep on looking. As they say..."Patience has its virtues".
