    Any thoughts?

A friend went to an auction today and ended up buying a Delta dust collection system for $100.00
He just called and said he really has no room for it and I could have it for what he paid for it. Tomorrow I will go with him to pick it up.
Is Delta a decent unit? Anything to look for, etc.? He said it was on wheels and had a remote also.

I presently use a shop vac with a cyclone system (metal can) using info I got from this site. It works good, but always looking to inprove.

    Any advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks,

$100 is an ok price for the 1hp unit. It's an outstanding price for 2hp. Remote control is a big benefit.

      Thanks JR.

I will check it out tomorrow. Don't know which model it is or the hp etc..
Hopefully it will be powerful enough.

Turns out it was the older AP400(?) that I wasn't really interested in. Guess he will sell it on craigslist. Not sure why he even bidded on it. Guess he got caught up in the moment.

I see a lot of those on Craigslist... He'll be doing well to get back what he paid for it...

i have an ap400. i had no idea there was a factory remote with that unit. i got mine new @ lowes for $47. while certainly not the best DC, for a one tool at a time operation in a small shop, it's not too bad.
there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.

The remote was an after market. The dc plugged into another small box , which had a small antennae wire) which in turn plugged into the wall outlet. Looked like it would work on most any machine depending on the amps it needed?
I won't tell him you got a new one for half of his used one.
